If we get it right in the early years by setting a solid foundation, lifelong improvements will follow.

MyBaby is a free, online resource with videos that demonstrate and encourage positive parenting practices. Signing up is simple and you can choose to get your weekly message by text, email or both.  You will see topics such as, “playing and exploring with my baby,” “my baby’s physical development” and “respecting my baby’s feelings and needs.” The message content is based on research evidence regarding how to lay a strong foundation for children’s overall development and well-being. Once you sign up, you have access to all the topics to explore when you have time and Internet access.

Whether you are a parent or someone who supports parents, MyBaby is a powerful way to learn more about how adults can help babies grow and develop. The messages include ideas and tips using positive role models.

MyBaby is a project of Red River College Polytechnic’s Research Department in the School of Health Sciences and Community Services. MyBaby draws on the work of RRC Polytech’s Science of Early Child Development (SECD) resources, which are used around the world for post-secondary education and professional development.

MyBaby has received funding from the Province of Manitoba and is grateful for this support.
