PRESENTATION: This presentation aims to discuss the intersection between young motherhood, perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mental health, and child development through a strengths-based lens. Evidence-based information on how to identify perinatal mental health concerns and how to best support children of young mothers is introduced. Psychological services available to young mothers and their children living in Manitoba are reviewed.
