February is I Love to Read Month at Millennium Library!
Come on down to the Millennium library this February and celebrate I Love to Read Month with a number of special programs and events for the whole family.
Regular Pre-school Programs for babies and toddlers have already begun at the library, but it’s not too late to join in on the fun. All programs listed below require registration. Baby Rhyme Time: Mondays at 11am
Introduce your baby to the sounds of language through rhymes, songs and simple stories. For babies newborn to 18 months with a caregiver. 20-30 minutes. Spaces available.
Toddler Time: Wednesdays at 11am
Help toddlers learn about letters, numbers, colours, shapes and more by sharing books, songs and rhymes. For children 19-36 months and a caregiver. 20-30 minutes. Spaces available.
Family Story Time: Saturdays at 11am
Help build pre-reading skills by sharing stories, singing and having fun together! Best enjoyed by children up to 5 years with a caregiver. 30 minutes. Spaces available.
If you have older children that are looking for some extra creative fun, don’t forget to check out these exciting offerings. These programs are for school aged children and are only offered at the Millennium Library at the listed date and time.
Tea Light Lanterns
Looking to bring some light to your life? Get creative and crafty and make a Tea Light Lantern.

THIN AIR KIDS: Graphic Novel Workshop
Join THIN AIR Kids and Winnipeg Public Library for a graphic novel workshop with writer Jen Storm and colourist Alice RL. How do ideas and concepts of closure contribute to the creation of a graphic novel? Find out in this hands-on workshop!
Ages 13-17. 90 minutes. Registration Required.

Reading with Wildlife
Wild animals will be visiting the library with staff from the Prairie Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Staff will bring a bird, reptile, small mammal, or other wild animal and together we will read stories and learn interesting facts about these wondrous creatures.
Ages 6-12. 60 minutes. Registration Required.
