Resources for Adolescent Parents (R.A.P) Program

Pick up where you left off!

New Directions’ Resources for Adolescent Parents (R.A.P) program works with Gordon Bell High School to allow young women the opportunity to receive support in parenting/pregnancy and prioritize their high school education. Offering full credits from Gr. 9-12, the classroom teacher and R.A.P. staff work with participants to create a schedule that works for them. Participants in R.A.P. will also have the opportunity to participate in many cultural workshops throughout the year. These workshops are led by various Knowledge Keepers in Treaty 1.

We know that times can be tough, and we are happy to provide participants the opportunity to be paid for coming to school. Participants will also be provided monthly bus passes to help get to school, program events, and all appointments.

Because R.A.P. runs all year round, applications are accepted on a continuous intake basis. This means anyone can apply at any time!
