She has much personal and professional experience in advocating and assisting families who have children with additional support needs. Ko’ona has extensive experience in helping to strengthen and support indigenous families through work in health promotion\, indigenous issues\, community development in addition to providing cultural programs and supportive services. She has been sharing her traditional teachings for over thirty years\, primarily through teaching using her Anishinabe hand drum and medicine bundle. Ko’ona is married to Ivon Saber a landowner at Ayers Cove on east Lake Winnipeg\, 5 minutes south of Wanipigow First Nation\, they spend their winter months in the Kootenays of British Columbia. \nPRESENTATION:  Indigenous Perspectives on Bonding and Attachment -This session will have an overview on the Tipi Teachings that shares Indigenous child development and family structures.
