APIN is again happy to have hosted its annual Adolescent Parent Day! The event was held at the Norwood Hotel on October 24th, 2024. We were pleased to see so many participants attend, and excited so many participated in the Halloween theme and came in costume!
After enjoying a light breakfast, the morning started with an informative presentation by Career Trek. We all learned about the program and participated in a fun interactive activity.
Aj’a then presented “Drumming is Medicine”, an active and educational session filled with song and movement. It was lovely to see how the babies and children responded to the music!
After lunch, the afternoon was busy with participants rotating through a series of three breakout sessions. This year we had Winnipeg Library Services, STI trivia, and a photobooth complete with fun props and photos to take home!
There was a raffle for gift cards, and each participant left with a gift bag full of goodies and a beautiful Halloween cookie!
