APIN is happy to have once again hosted its annual Adolescent Parent Day. The event was held on October 27, 2022 at the Norwood Hotel and 63 people attended.  The day was jam-packed, informative and fun!

The day started with a light breakfast, followed by a presentation by Sally Massey Wiebe. Sally Massey Wiebe, a Certified Counsellor under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and Accredited Financial Counselor Canada, presented “Good Buy!” or “Goodbye!”. This fun and interactive session helped participants learn about their relationship with money, discussed the value of completing a tax return and provided valuable information about financial benefit programs.

Participants next had the pleasure of listening to Mia Elfenbaum present about MyBaby, an app providing videos and parenting information tailored to the parenting of infants from birth to age one.

After lunch, participants had the opportunity to participate in breakout sessions by Library Services, Peg Family Fitness and Master Jeff and Master Walter from Red Dragon Tai Chi. These sessions were very well received and a lot of fun was had by all!  At the end of the day each participant received a gift bag full of great goodies.

APIN is already looking forward to Adolescent Parent Day 2023!
